An exceptional place

A place steeped in history

La Rôtisserie du Chambertin, built in the 18th century in Gevrey-Chambertin, is a gem of Burgundy’s viticultural heritage. Founded in 1967 by Pierre and Céline Menneveau, it occupies historic buildings formerly owned by the Jobert de Chambertin family. The restaurant gained early acclaim thanks to Céline’s cuisine, which earned numerous prestigious awards. Pierre, a connoisseur of the region’s wines, manages the reception and advises on wines. Unfortunately, Céline passed away prematurely, but Pierre continued to hire excellent chefs. After a temporary closure, the restaurant happily reopened in the summer of 2014.

The revival in 2014

2014 marks the long-awaited reopening of La Rôtisserie du Chambertin. The renovations carried out on the building were done with the aim of preserving all the authenticity of the place. Thus, it is in a completely restored setting that La Rôtisserie du Chambertin now welcomes its guests, in the tradition of yesteryears and conviviality.
To better accommodate its visitors, La Rôtisserie du Chambertin has added a hotel section, entirely conceived by the new owners. The 9 rooms that make up the hotel all have their own character: coverings, textures, furnishings, … everything has been meticulously selected to create a warm and unique atmosphere.

The Gastronomy of Burgundy

The region is rich in many ways, and it’s in the kitchen that La Rôtisserie du Chambertin invites you to continue the discovery. In the kitchen, the Chef prepares traditional cuisine, directly inspired by the market, respecting both the products and the producers. The menu is dynamic and will evolve with the seasons.
